Making the treatment and management patient centered – understanding for optimal results the patient must be included in all the decisions – setting realistic treatment goals – being respectful of cultural, social and economic factors – comprehensive assessment -thorough physical exam of the skin,nails, vascular and neurological status, gait analysis – patient education as an informed patient will result in better outcomes and fewer complications – multidisciplinary approach for each patient.
